I wrote this poem for my class. My team came in first place in the contest!!!  I hope you like my poem!  My dad thinks it’s funny.

Here’s my page about the Cherry Blossom Festival!

Here’s a page I made called “Daddy’s Girl”.  I got the idea from a piece of paper Daddy had in a book.

We have started an addition onto our cabin in southern Indiana.  It’s a pretty small addition, but since the cabin is pretty small to begin with, the addition will add about 50% to the overall size.  When it’s all said an done, the one bedroom the cabin currently has will double in size, and we’ll get one new bedroom, a closet and a half-bath.

My dad and his partner in a small handyman business are doing most of the work, but Sandi, the kids and I spent Memorial day weekend there and will go there again this week to help out.  On Memorial day, we were mostly around to carry things, hold stuff steady, get drinks, etc., but Sandi did help out putting the tar paper on the roof.

There’s still a long way to go before we’re done.  We’ll be going down this weekend to paint the exterior and install insulation.

As usual, we are taking a lot of pictures as we go.  Here’s the first scrapbook page I’ve put together:

We went back down to the cabin last weekend, after my dad and Larry spent another week working on it. We’ve made a lot of progress. Dad and Larry finished the roof, put up the siding, roughed-in the wiring, installed underfloor insulation, and installed the door to the new bedroom.

David (Sandi’s dad) joined them late in the week to paint the exterior, and we came down on Friday with Shirley (Sandi’s mom) to install the interior wall insulation, move the satellite dish (again) and rearrange the main room in anticipation of the new space.

It made for a couple of really busy days, but the place is starting to come together.  I think Larry and my dad will have the place basically finished after one more week, then it will be time for us to go back in and install the finished flooring and paint the walls.

Then we’ll start phase 2 — Sandi’s massive decorating effort.  We already have a giant pile of new bedding stuff in the corner of our library at home.  All of the girls are excited about making their new space beautiful.  Me, I plan to move out to the hammock and maybe never leave. :)

I liked living in France. Mommy and Daddy took lots of pictures of me when we lived there. I put some of them on this page. Daddy helped me stamp the pictures and words.

This is my new coverpage for my scrapbook. My first cover page wasn’t as nice, but it has lots of information about me and my friends. I asked my dad to help me make a new one, and he said yes. Here is the one we made.
