Today the unthinkable happened! I saw it sneaking up on us but I just stood by and let it happen…. we ran out of toilet paper!! Right in the midst of potty training Celia too. This is highly unusual for us because I tend to be a stocker of these sort of items. At any given day I would probably have 10 rolls in my cabinet along with 5 boxes of Kleenex and 5 rolls of paper towels.

When Ken came home I made a quick run to the local Penny Mark in town (they are an equivalent to Aldi) to pick up a package. In order not to look like we ran out of toilet paper I grabbed some other items. Chocolate, cookies, bread, and chicken. (OK, that cashier knew exactly why I was there looking at that list!) When I put all the items on the counter for the cashier I almost lost it! I never even saw the name of the toilet paper until that moment. You gotta love Germans and the names they come up with for their products! We are now enjoying our cabinet stocked with “Happy End” toilet paper.
